"I was constantly reassured by the nurses"

About: Maternity care / Delivery suite / MLU Maternity care / Maternity Ward

(as the patient),

I came in for my delivery a couple days early before my child was born as she decided to come a little early. The midwives and nurses were all ready for me when I came in. The entire team on the ward have been lovely and have taken good care of me. I was quite worried initially due to the change in circumstances regarding her birth but I was constantly reassured by the nurses

the only thing I would say is that it is awfully quiet on the ward and I feel like having a tv in the room would be a good distraction from how quiet it is

Thank you for taking the time to share your story and congratulations on the birth of your baby girl.

I'm pleased to hear that you have had a positive experience and that the nurses communicated well with you and were able to reassure you during a stressful time. I will ensure your feedback as well as your comments on TV access is passed on to the maternity team.

Take care
