The induction bay is roasting. It is like walls within walls. There is a lack of fans and ventilation in this area.
One annoying thing about my stay here is that my partner was allowed in for 24 hours down in the induction bay but now that I'm up in the ward he is only allowed to come for an hour. This reduces the amount of time he has to spend with our newborn which is sad.
It is also annoying how parking was free for patients for a while but now we have to pay.
The staff that I have been with have been friendly, nice and very knowledgeable. They have kept me well informed.
The food isn't great as there aren't many options to choose from. The tea and toast is the highlight of my day as they use real butter! After giving birth and having not eaten for 24 hours, it was lovely to have the toast.
The ward smells clean and sterile and the hand sanitizer dispensers are always full.
I really think the ward needs more bins. I have no bin anywhere near my bed for dirty nappies etc. This should really be considered.
The pillows are like balloons. They really aren't comfortable but I guess it isn't a hotel!
