Quite lonely at times

About: Craigavon Area Hospital / 3 South

(as the patient),

I was advised to go to CAH whenever the district nurse was at my home testing my blood sugar and the reading came back to be very high, this was on Saturday.

Since I have been on 3 South I have been very happy with my care. The staff are all wonderful here. Even the night staff are so good as well. If I ask for anything on the ward like a cup of tea I get it and this is greatly appreciated.

However if it wasn't for the patient beside me having a visitor coming in who I knew as a previous neighbour I would find it quite lonely at times and not have many people to chat to. I enjoy chatting to people as I live alone and like the company for a little bit anyways.

We are sorry to read that you feel quite lonely at times and do understand that it is very difficult for patients to be separated from their families at this very difficult time, due to the visiting restrictions. We have a virtual visiting service in place which many people find to be very helpful to keep in touch with family and friends.
