"Outstanding care at such a difficult time"

About: Older People’s Services / Hospital at Home Northern Sector

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Story told by sister on behalf of patient aged 60-69 from the Derry/Londonderry area.

I felt very grateful and relieved that my sister was able to avoid a long stay in hospital.  The care that was given was outstanding at such a difficult time.  It is much appreciated by myself and my sisters family.

I am very glad that your experience with Acute Care At Home Team was positive.

Where possible, it is best for older people to be Nursed at home. AT this difficult time during a pandemic, to visit our loved ones in hospital is difficult. With loved one around us recovery can be more rapid and our care of our family consistent and carried out with affection.

I am glad to hear that your sister could avoid hospital and that you both found this beneficial.

Your positive comments will be passed on to the Team.
