"Painless!"

About: Tetbury Hospital

I went in for the removal of 2 sets of lower molar tooth roots which were there as a result of broken crowns. From pre op assessment to day of surgery I cannot fault the care and kindness shown to me by all the staff nurses and surgeon concerned. I thought the hospital was as clean as a new pin. Every consideration was given regarding my comfort, care and dignity. The toilet was also spotless ( which I used several times ) and the nurses and anaesthetist tried really hard to put me at ease and even had time to chat about favourite TV dramas. I was under for only about 20 minutes and from the time I woke up to now when writing this review , about 10 days later, I have honestly felt no pain from the area. I certainly expected some pain but there was none and roots gone!! I don't know how the surgeon did it when there was no tooth to get hold of to facilitate extraction! Anyway, the area is healing over nicely now and should go on to heal up completely in a few weeks or so. After the op I was wheeled back to the recovery area where I got dressed and only after a suitable length of time and the nurse was sure I was OK was I discharged with some codeine tablets in case - but not needed. The nurse ( who was there on and off all afternoon ) even walked me to the car. I would highly recommend this hospital to anyone requiring day surgery. Tetbury is lucky to have this hospital.
