"The excellent care I received during my recent stay"

About: Scottish Ambulance Service University Hospital Ayr / Accident & Emergency University Hospital Ayr / Cardiology

(as a service user),

I was recently admitted to Ayr hospital with chest pains. I   was extremely well cared for by all the staff that I encountered from the paramedics, to those in ED and station 6. Claire and Shona and all the other staff from Station 6 could not have been more kind and helpful. The care was exemplary and I would to thank very much all the staff with whom I came into contact. I am extremely grateful for and proud of our NHS and I think it’s amazing the staff are still providing such a high standard of care after a very challenging 18months for them. Thank you.

I am very sorry to read that you had reason to use our services and that of the wider NHS. Chest pains are worrying for anyone getting them and you did the right thing in calling us. I hope that you are feeling much better and on the road to recovery.

I am very happy however to read about the care that you were provided, everyone has clearly had an impact and it is lovely to read. The last 18 months have been very difficult and we are as busy as ever, but it is clear that in this case professionalism has remained high. Thank you for sharing this.
