Since my first telephone call from the Pharmacist, Catherine, to discuss my long term medication requirements and who subsequently referred me to Esther, the Primary Care Occupational Therapist, I cannot believe the quality of service I have received from them.
Esther came out to access me and from there on I have had nothing but the best of attention from her. She suggested various household implements to assist my mobility, Also, as I have been stumbling & falling quite a bit she had an alarm system installed for me and as my bedrooms are upstairs she arranged, through Linda the Social Care Occupational Therapist, for a stair lift to be installed. This all happened within a few weeks, much to my amazement.
She also arranged for me to have visits from Linda, a Physiotherapist, who, as well as giving me some very light exercises, was watching how I moved about the house with my two sticks & furniture walking. She suggested I would be better with a three wheel walker to help keep me more upright and also assist my movement around the house safely. This is now on order for me.
I can’t believe the wonderful assistance I have received from everyone since Esther came to see me and I didn’t even know this service was available. It makes my mobility around the house a lot safer and I can’t praise them enough for their very professional help.
