(as a parent/guardian),

I went to the children’s accident and emergency at them Royal Hospital for children in Glasgow as my baby had bumped his head on Tuesday. The staff from the woman on the door directing people and the receptionist to all the medical staff were unbelievably kind, helpful and professional. 

The nurse Louise and consultant George were amazingly kind, gentle and thorough. I was panicking and emotional but quickly felt reassured. In the end, I think my baby thought it was a fun day out due to their support and kindness.

Dear KMarier,

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. I can only imagine what a very worrying and upsetting time this was for you, particularly as your wee one is just a baby - it's emotional enough just parenting when they're this young, never mind if they then need an emergency trip to hospital!

I was so delighted to hear that our team went out of their way to provide caring support to you including at both triage and at reception. They are such a kind team and it is so thoughtful of you to recognise that, particularly at such a challenging time.

Thank you also for recognising the input provided by both Louise and George. Our senior managers will share their own personal appreciation alongside yours to them, we are so proud of them all for receiving your lovely feedback.

Fun day out as a baby = future career in a hospital. It is truly a lovely place to be.

I am so grateful to have read your story and our team will be too. I hope your baby is now feeling much better and you've had a chance to relax as well. It was sincerely our pleasure to care for you both.
