Following the delivery of my daughter she was urgently transferred to the neonatal unit at UHW, she was very unwell and received timely diagnosis of a cardiac defect and interventions were carried out by the emergency neonatal team which essentially saved her life.
Following a week stay in the neonatal unit we were moved to SCBU for a further two weeks prior to discharge.
Whilst in SCBU my daughter and both my husband and I received the most compassionate and holistic care as a family by all of the nurses and doctors, too many to mention individually! However our gratitude for this and for making a very difficult time in our life’s so much easier to get through is immense.
You are all amazing at what you do and deserve the recognition for such high standards of care. Keep doing what your doing and know that you make such a difference to many peoples lives!
"Highest standard of care and compassion"
