Was a great practice pre Covid but it's now still In lockdown. Can't see a GP even for a telephone appointment which you have to book 3 weeks in advance. My niece tried to book an appointment as her 14 month old daughter had a serious cough. The best they could offer was two weeks later. She rang NHS helpline and they booked her in the same practice that day.
I'm sorry but that is not acceptable. GP practices now need to wake up and start treating their patients. Some of the call takers ( when you can get through) are brilliant, sadly some are not. I recently renewed my medical driving licence. I managed to get a telephone appointment with my doctor in three weeks. He then asked for a copy of my latest eyesight test which I arranged to drop off at the surgery the following day. Doctor agreed that would be ok. Walked into with the details he requested. No one else in sight. No patients and no staff.
Receptionist came out of an office area and said "yes" explained I was dropping something off for the doctor. She said nothing but walked back to office and came out with a black bin and held it in front of me gesturing me to put it in the bin. Never said a word. 5 days later the doctors secretary phoned me to ask where it was . ? Is that good service
"Good Practice"
