"No Compassion No Empathy "

About: Wexham Park Hospital

Visited the A&E department as advised by the 111 service, as this health issue was ongoing an not showing any signs of improvement. I tried all avenues available and done all that was recommended by healthcare professionals. I Was told to visit the Hospital if things do not improve but I delayed this due to the pandemic.

After booking in and eventually seeing the Nurse I left without any treatment because of the way I was made to feel by this individual.

After telling the nurse my symptoms she made it quite clear I was wasting her time. Her exact words were “you do know there is a pandemic taking place right now!”

I would hate to think if someone who was in dire need of help due to serious health issues would receive the same lack of compassion i.e. mental health, suicidal to have to walk away knowing that this was their last hope of help.

Why is “CARE” missing in these individuals?

Dear Ms Yasin,

Thank you for your feedback about your visit to the Emergency Department at Wexham Park in March. I am sorry that your personal experience as a patient did not come up to the high standards we set ourselves as a Trust.

I have shared your comments with the team and have asked for a response.

Kind regards,

Alex Jackson, Patient Experience Manager, Frimley Health
