About: City Hospital (Birmingham)

I had my First ever surgery during the covid pandemic, I was naturally nervous being alone and having no one able too wait with me so the hours leading up too my operation were very anxious for me. I could not fault my 2 lovely anaesthetists who put me at ease and looked after me and all the staff in recovery when waking up. The staff in the D25 very good and my surgery went smoothly and successfully. Although it was a long wait for my operation of around 12 months my surgeon has been so understanding from the day I spoke too him over the phone and I am so grateful too he received his care following a previous discharge at another hospital and finally be listened too and receive my diagnosis after many years.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your healthcare journey, and I’m delighted to hear not only about your positive experience with my colleagues but most importantly that you have gotten the treatment you need to move forward. I wish you all the best with that journey. With kind regards, Richard Beeken, Interim Chief Executive.
