Today I visited this clinic to collect a blood test form but unfortunately it’s temporarily closed in the afternoon. The nuisance is that they didn’t update opening hours on their website - before I visited I had looked at their website at 13:30 checking today’s opening hours of reception, where still showed”we’re currently open” until 18:30. Then it took me one hour from central London to get there at 15:00 but found a notice of temporary close on their front door. I saw a number of staff were gathering in the hall but nobody gave me a help - The form I needed was just at the reception for collection but so disappointing and frustrating that nobody could help spending a few seconds to hand over the form. I understood they were on the meeting but they should have dealt with such occasion with a basic flexibility, after all, the visitors are all the patients who should get a basic care and respect. If the website had updated opening hours and released temporary close notice, I would not have wasted time to visit and suffered a decline outside the door. All the staff in the hall were cold blooded herd and don’t deserve respected any longer!

Dear Andy,

On behalf of my colleagues, may I offer my sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused to you by our afternoon closure last week. This was for a staff training session involving all practice staff. Ordinarily, we post a notice on our website, as well as changing our phone message, to inform patients well in advance of any closures. I am sorry that we failed to do so on this occasion and that you were inconvenienced in this way. I very much hope that you have now collected your form - if there have been any on-going problems then please let me know. We will certainly learn from your feedback and hope not to repeat this omission again.
