In Jan I called the surgery and spoke to a pleasant receptionist and gave my symptoms which I believed was extreme acid indigestion which I had been experiencing for 2 years but had not contacted the dr because it usually passed within 24 hrs however this was the 2nd episode in a week. The pain was excruciating and I do have a high pain threshold, the receptionist said the dr would call me and she did within 15 mins and once hearing my self diagnosing from google asked me to come to the surgery and gave me an appointment time of 1hr 30 mins later. The dr checked my symptoms and took the usual obs then did a test by applying pressure and me breathing out which made me react immediately and was immediately sent to a&e for blood test because she was concerned the surgery blood results take 24 hrs and she was not happy leaving it for a day - the result was severe gallstones - I had the op in March to remove gallbladder however 6 weeks after I was not feeling I had recovered well but was back at work and put it down to overdoing things until the following weekend my partner noticed my eyes had turned yellow and my skin was an odd colour, I contacted the surgery again after a few days and started getting the pain again which I thought was phantom pain the dr called me back within 15 mins and after a consultation sent me direct to a&e and I was admitted 2 days later where they found 2 gallstones which had escaped and were blocking my bile duct which were successfully removed.

Without the swift action of this surgery and ignoring my self diagnosing the dr did not want to risk a days delay the hospital advised the result would have been much worse and my bloods were dropping by the hour.

All contact with my surgery was professional welcoming understanding and efficient with care I cannot thank or recommend them more highly and am very pleased I belong to this surgery 🤗
