My elderly mum receives monthly injections in both eyes & on her last visit was told that she needed an urgent appointment but sadly there was none available. After a 3 week wait I called to ask if she was any nearer to getting one I was told that she was at the top of the cancellation list. 3 days later she got a call from the Return Appt receptionist (3rd floor) to say that not only was a cancellation available for today but they could also give her a 2nd appt on Friday. The girl (didn’t get her name) was absolutely delightful & had tried so hard to accommodate mum even when they are struggling to help everyone. Staff today were superb when she arrived & even gave her her other eye’s injection so that she wouldn’t have to return on Friday. They do amazing things even though they are really stretched. Thank you & please don’t let this facility close.
