"Maternity services"

About: Royal Stoke University Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

The staff seemingly refuse to be held accountable and refuse to give access to a consultant. They told me that they would call you back and then didn't. It seems to me that anxiety and mental health needs requiring empathy are not a priority for them, staff wearing PPE in hot weather was given higher priority than an expectant mother who is having panic attacks and hyperventilating.

I am sorry to hear that your experience of our maternity service has been so poor. Please do not hesitate to email PALS on patientadvice.uhnm@nhs.net or ring us on 01782 676450 if you need our support with anything.

Kind Regards

Angela Grocott
