About: Salisbury District Hospital

I came in late afternoon having fallen & hurt my chest. After an initial acessment I went through for further assessment and an Xray the result of which was that I had a crack in my left hand 9th rib. I was told that this would take 4-6 weeks to heal and given a paper with advise for breathing excercises. One of my main concerns was the fact I was due to have a pet/ct scan on Friday 4th June. I was assured that this would not be affected and could proceed. The overall atmosphere was calm & re-assurring whilst the view from the waiting area over a field with a tractor cutting hay added to this.
