I used alcohol as a means of coping with life, I used to have to have a couple glasses of wine before going to work as I used suffer panic attacks on the train going into London. And then I would drink through out the day to avoid the shakes and cope with stress of my job, I used take a hipflask full of neat vodka, which I would go off to the toilet to drink. Then come lunch time I would go to the pub and have several drinks before going back to work, and come the end of the day I would then go m&s store at the train station and buy more drinks to consume on the train home.
Once at home I would think of nothing of having another bottle of wine, it just became the norm and it was costing a fortune.
In the end, the catalyst was me having a car crash and subsequently going to court and losing my licence.
The day after I had my accident I contacted my doctor who referred me to BUCKS ONE RECOVERY who have helped me address my issue with drinking. I have now stopped drinking and life is so much better where everyone say it nice to have old me back.
I'm not say everyone has to give up alcohol, but has helped me.
