"My progress after a stroke"

About: Antrim Area Hospital / Ward A5 Care of the Elderly Rehabilitation Wards / Rehab ward 9

(as a service user),

I had a stroke. I was admitted to Antrim A5 and then transferred to ward 1 in Whiteabbey and then to Ward 9. I was terrified/unsure on what my future would be. The staff have consistently reassured and supported me through my rehabilitation. They have been most supportive and have built my confidence in using my specialised equipment. They have constantly encouraged me to aim for better results. I have been shocked by how much progress I have made. If it wasn’t for all the staff with their encouragement and support. The care I have received has  overwhelmed me
