I was unsure about whether to bother the MIU in the pandemic about a relatively minor knee injury, so rang to check if it was appropriate. I was triaged on the phone, was given an appointment time, and seen almost as soon as I arrived by a fabulous nurse practitioner. She must have been very busy, but took the time not only to check me out and get a real understanding of the issue, but to give some excellent advice and a pair of crutches in time for a trip to the seaside (which are making all the difference, thank you). There is a MIU slightly closer over the border in Oxfordshire, but Cirencester has always provided such a brilliant service, I wouldn't go anywhere else. Very grateful for our wonderful NHS keeping going in the most challenging of services, even for the relatively little things that mean a lot to the individual patients.
"So lucky to have the MIU"
