I have been suffering with chronic pain for several months. I managed to get an appointment with one of the training gps and was given some meds and an interim diagnosis. Since then, I have written to complain about the lack of communication and ongoing treatment, have seen one of the partners and have still had communication issues and have now been waiting several weeks for a promised physio referral. I feel like giving up, in over 30 years with this practice I have never had these problems, which the practice seems to want to blame on the COVID pandemic, but that shouldn’t affect telephone calls to keep your patients informed about their treatment/results/referrals etc. I work in care and understand the pressures of the pandemic, but I feel that we as patients have almost been abandoned by our gps. The chronic pain continues and I have been totally demoralised by the whole situation and have lost all confidence in getting a resolution to it. A very disappointing state of affairs.
"Dreadful communication"
