"Lost finger"

About: Royal Albert Edward Infirmary

I came in having a very nasty cut on my finger. The first aid person who saw me before I went to A and E recommended needing stitches. Once at A and E department, the cut was just closed using sterile strips. ( the nurse did tell me that he was finishing in 20 minutes). It's now been just under 4 weeks and I went to a different hospital, needless to say, I've lost the end of my finger. The nusre at second hospital told me I should of had stitches after I showed her the photo of the original injury. I did my best to keep the dressing clean and dry, but it was the sterile stitches that where the wrong choice. The peice of flesh that was stuck down, fell off this morning. Leaving an open wound about 2 cm x 1 cm
