I recently had an operation for a knee replacement. To say I was scared wouldn't describe it. From the minute I was in the waiting area being checked out before the operation, through the procedure itself (by epidural and theatre staff were very reassuring through it) into recovery and then on to the ward, I met with nothing but skill, kindness, compassion for my fears, explanations of what was happening and reassurances that all was well. What an amazing team of people! In the end I stayed in for a week and everyone was just as kind and caring at the end of my stay as at the beginning. All the staff were so busy, they never stopped, yet they always had time for a quick chat before they dashed off somewhere else, even the night staff. I cannot thank you guys enough for helping me through all of it. Thank you just isn't enough, but THANK YOU!! to the Surgeon who performed the operation, right through the team, including some really lovely cheerful "cleaning ladies" who kept everywhere squeaky clean. I am grateful to you all.
