"Excellent service at St Marks endoscopy unit "

About: St Marks Hospital (Harrow)

My mum visited today for an EBUS procedure, she was extremely nervous especially as she is not a fluent English speaker and has mobility issues. From the minute she walked in until the end she was treated with the utmost dignity and respect. The staff were excellent throughout, and despite no prior booking for an interpreter, they got one of the urdu speaking nurses to translate everything for her. She was extremely well looked after. The tea, which one of the nurses personally made for her, and biscuits were very welcome at the end of the procedure and the staff nurse insisted on bringing my mum out and giving me a handover. Cannot thank the staff enough. Amazing team

Dear Sir/Madam

It was lovely to read your story of how well looked after your mother was during her recent visit to the Endoscopy department. It was so pleasing to hear that the team took care of her and were also able to further put her at ease by speaking with her in her first language.

I will ensure that your kind words are shared with the management team so that their efforts can be recognised and thank you again for taking the time to share yours and your mother's positive experience.

Kind regards

Peter Hare

Patient Services Manager
