"Shambolic"

After waiting 5 weeks for a phone appointment to discuss a chest x ray results I never received a call (which was scheduled for yesterday). This morning a voicemail was left saying "hello, hello" person puts phone down. I called the practice only to be told I have to wait another 17 days to have another phone appointment because I allegedly missed the call (which was on the wrong day). The receptionist was so rude & unhelpful I felt absolutely disgusted. I'm a cancer patient & after begging just to know if my results are good or bad was flatly turned down, she wouldn't let me speak to anyone & proceeded to patronise me by telling me not to shout at her, which I did not do. Thanks for the added stress & anxiety. I don't know if you were having a bad day but try waiting 7/8 weeks for life changing test results & see how you feel. Have a little compassion for people on the end of the phone, & try to put yourself in their shoes. I will be making a formal complaint. Will NEVER use this doctors again.
