I am a nurse. My mother was admitted on Orthopaedics for a hip fracture. We spent 12 hours in the triage unit where every nurse there ignored requests for urinating despite us being there for many hours. Same on AAU2 when a nurse shouted at me as I gave my mum a pad to pee in and threw the urine soaked sheet on the floor after they failed to come when requested. She did not say sorry, only complained I threw the sheet on the floor. Another man got same treatment, told to hold it. They do not seem to like this part of their job: dealing with pee and poo and that is part of their payment. Disgraceful. Also when she was moved on another ward she was having same problems when needing to go to toilet, everyone just ignored her for hours. I was visiting and they also ignored me when I asked for the toilet / commode. They were dragging their feet . I have never seen this in any other country. This is disgraceful and undignified. My mother lives in Central London and I don't know why we were taken by ambulance in this hospital miles away that makes visiting so difficult. Was told there is a 'trial' . This is appalling. Very bad experience overall. I will never recommend this hospital to anyone.
"very bad treatment of patients"
