I felt I had to leave a brief review of my experience at this hospital; it was truly outstanding. Every member of staff that I encountered treated me with the upmost courtesy and respect irrespective of their hierarchy in the community. From the Health Care Assistants to the consultants, from the porters to the nurses, from the admin ladies to the catering team, everyone demonstrated caring, cheerful professionalism which supported me through a difficult few days in hospital. I felt fully informed about my treatment - a total knee replacement - from the initial consultation to the pre-op assessment and then to the actual day itself. I felt like an individual - rather than a statistic - whose recovery was monitored closely by all the various teams involved in my care. My room was spotless, the food was delicious and the physio team were there with a cheery smile to get me up and moving again. I was only discharged when they felt I was ready to safely leave and I was reassured by the ability to contact staff directly if I had any issues when I returned home.
It is never easy going into hospital particularly during a global pandemic. I can only repeat that my experience of this Nuffield Hospital was truly outstanding and I would recommend it unreservedly.
