I had my podiatry appointment at the central clinic on Old Irvine Road, and I have to say they have a lovely set up going on there.
All the NHS places I've been I've found great - I'm American but I've been in the UK for 30 years now and the one thing I've always really raved about is the NHS, its such a brilliant aim and a brilliant system.
My appointment was with Amanda and Gary. I have diabetes type II , and my left foot is especially bad, I get all kinds of ulcers, some superficial, some less so - I have a lot of problems with it. This Group at the clinic was sensational. The lovely lass, Amanda, had such amazing attention to detail, it was tremendous. They trimmed my nails, trimmed my callouses, gave me tremendous advice, all so tremendously caring - something I see lacking in a lot of places. Its just so nice to into this establishment and get this kind of atmosphere and care.
I also want to compliment the receptionist Jill, they said her name was, she was quite outstanding in how she helped me. I can't give these staff a big fat raise they deserve (like all the NHS nurses who deserve one), but I can come here and say something nice about them.
"Compliments to the tremendous podiatry staff"
