My sister, Morven, was treated by the PD team at QEUH, Glasgow.
It is now 8 months since she passed away and I should have written this sooner.
The care she received principally from Isabella, Joan and Dr Gorrie ( but in their absence from others in the team) was outstanding - caring and compassionate but also efficient. She thought of them as family and trusted them implicitly, not only with regard to her dialysis but also when she was diagnosed with lung cancer, she still looked to them for advice.
She decided to stop dialysis when her cancer was terminal and that was a very hard decision and I think she possibly waited too long. Again she had the full support from the PD team which was amazing.
