"Missed Meds"

About: Halton Integrated Recovery Service

(as a parent/guardian),

Son missed medication dose through no fault of his own. Remember its bank holiday weekend. Spent over 7 hours trying to sort something. 

Felt angry, frustrated, it seemed irrelevant that this was something that he could not go without, without the risk of him self medicating.

Finally got help for him.

Thanks to staff at CGL who we cannot thank enough in finding a solution to fix this mess!

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I'm very sorry that you and your son had to experience this and it must have been distressing for you both. We do investigate all incidents between ourselves and pharmacies and we share learning with the team to try and prevent them happening again. We are currently looking at whether there is any way for us to improve access over weekends and holidays as we would always want people to be able to access their medication.
