"Get all the support needed to manage my diabetes"

I spoke to my gp on the Wednesday and was referred to the community diabetes specialist nurse clinic and I got a call from them the next day. The nurse explained the next steps to me & that I would be sent a near me appt. She gave me details about what I needed to do before my appointment and made everything very clear to me. I was surprised at how quick they made contact and that day I got an appointment through for the following Wednesday so only a week between referral & my appointment. Impressed with the short wait as normally waiting times are long. Also like that they refer you to the dietician too as standard so get all the support needed to manage your diabetes. Nurse was very helpful and pleasant to talk to.
