Our social prescriber managed to get 2 Charities to provide a stair left however sadly without warning we received a letter saying she was no longer wasn't assigned to the person I care for.. We still haven't got a stair lift due to no socket at top of stairs. Council won't fit a socket nor social services so again we're back to square one.
We didn't know our social prescriber wasn't permanent and really would have appreciated being more informed. It's very difficult going to work and coming home looking after someone. All w ever asked for is to have some benefits help so I can afford to lessen my hours therefore enabling me to have more time to be a carer. To be honest I feel very let down and still we are no further forward with the stair lift.
