"Hip Steroid Injection"

I have just returned from BMI Droitwich Hospital where the consultant was to administer a steroid injection into my hip to relieve excruciating hip, groin and knee pain due to arthritis. From the moment I walked through the door I was looked after and cared for in a very safe and caring manner. I had watched videos on YouTube about steroid hip injections under X-Ray so kind of knew what to expect and was dreading it. My consultant however explained everything to me and undertook the procedure in a far more efficient manner than what I had seen on TV. It was all over very quickly and was relatively painless. I felt instant pain relief though I understand that was due to the anesthetic and the steroid will take effect over the next couple of days. I cannot thank the whole hospital team enough for their kindness and empathy and would heartily recommend this hospital. I am just sorry that I cannot mention their names as I believe thanks and recognition should be acknowledged personally. Almost 24 hours later I have had a wonderful nights sleep and am walking round the house without my stick. This, after being in so much pain for almost 2 years. That injection for me was like a magic bullet. Thank you Droitwich BMI Hospital. Definitely a 5 star experience.
