"My visit to A and E"

About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Accident & Emergency

(as the patient),

I had to go to A and E after being injured at an event I worked at. A and E was out of this world busy. Absolutely wild, however, I was seen so quickly and was really impressed. I was triaged and sent for my X-ray within about twenty minutes (if that) and then only had to wait about 90mins to be seen by the doctor. If anyone knows A and E’s in general 90mins is like the speed of light!

I was assessed by Dr Parke and he was brilliant. A lovely, lovely man who explained everything so well. Was apologetic was having to wait ‘so long’ even though I could see that it was bedlam in A and E.

Great great service. Nobody wants to go to A and E but if I had to I wouldn’t mind going to this one!

Dear Boop,

Thank you for sharing your story. I'm sorry to hear about your incident at work and hope you're recovering well?

I’m delighted that you were impressed by the level of care at A&E and didn’t have to wait too long. We really appreciate patients taking the time to provide feedback and I will make sure that your post is shared with Dr Parke and the rest of the team.

Please take care and stay safe.

Kind regards,

Euan
