"Poor and insufficient service "

About: C/O Care UK, Bucks Msk, High Wycombe

I was referred for a physiotherapy with a chronic back pain. During the consultation the physio printed 3 sets of exercises and told me to come back in 6 weeks if they don’t work for me. That was the whole physio session. During the session I explained that I have two small children in nappies including a newborn baby and that I don’t have much time for myself. I also can’t take painkillers for my back because I’m breastfeeding. I feel that my lifestyle hasn’t been taken into consideration. I’ve been told that my issue will take a long time to correct with exercise. If there is no hands on massage I’m sure it will take a long time to be pain free. I was expecting something different with “hands on” massage experience. It’s depressing to be in pain and unfortunately I didn’t get the help I expected. The physio said they don’t do massage at this practice and their main treatment is to educate people about what exercise they can do to help themselves. What is the point of having a physio session if they are not helping you to relieve the pain. I’m very disappointed with the service.
