I contacted the community stoma nurse as I was concened about bleeding from my stoma - she gave me an appointment on the same day as I explained I was very anxious and couldn't get the bleeding stopped. She treated the area, explained what it was and more importantly what it wasn't - I had bowel cancer last year and panicked when I saw the blood on my stoma. I was so relieved I could've hugged her but couldn't because of covid. I saw this leaflet at the health centre and wanted to convey my relief and appreciation - Thank you so much Fiona, for seeing me so fast and taking the time to talk me through it all.
This service is so appreciated, don't know what I would do without it.
Thanks to Fiona and the service.
