"Lack of communication and support"

About: Hay Lodge Hospital

(as the patient),

I was diagnosed with a heel spur in December 2020, at Hay Lodge health centre in Peebles.   I was interviewed on an app by a podiatrist in February.   The outcome was an XRay.   They forgot about this for weeks. I reminded them and I recieved a XRay.   The results took over 2 weeks to come back, I phoned the practice to get the results.   The doctor told me podiatrist would be in touch. This is May now and no word. I have kept working, and I am extremely worried I'll be pensioned off due this delay and the lack of communication and attention this Health board has shown me.

Hello

Many thanks for your comment. I am sorry to hear about your experience and would like to address this. If you are able to phone our podiatry hub on 01896 826538, and ask for Adam Smith our podiatry service lead, we will be able to look into your situation and address this as soon as possible.

Many thanks
