Following an urgent GP referral I was admitted. Throughout I found all staff painstaking, cheering, courteous, reassuring, informative, kind and caring. Explanations of procedures and medication were very clear. At no point did I feel that I was kept waiting. Food was appropriate, good and timely. The cleaner was thorough and cheerful.
My treatment seems to have managed my condition, making me appreciate how unwell I had become and how much the improvement to my quality of life could be in a short space of time.
Tricky patients and situations were handled admirably, and compliant patients were not overlooked. A hallmark of commonsense was evident.
This was my first experience on being an inpatient since 1966, and I was amazed.
I'm a very grateful recipient of such wonderful care.
