"Cardiology"

About: Chorley & South Ribble Hospital

Attended the department for a stress test on my heart following chest pain. Referred to Preston hospital for a Cardiac imaging stress scan in mid March. Results of the scan sent to Chorley 6 days later. Now nearly 9 weeks later I am still chasing the results. When I contacted the department I was told the the consultant was off for 8 weeks and in there words “ you will just have to wait your turn”.

I was told that the doctors would deal with the urgent cases first, but they could not tell me if I was in that category.

Today I have been told that I am not on the list for the consultant who has been absent but my case seems to have been lost in an administration vacuum.

In the meantime my stress level increases daily.
