"Never once has she lost heart"

About: Enhanced Care / Tissue Viability Service

(as a service user),

For the last 10 months I have had a small ulcer on my ankle and because of medications I have to take it has been very slow to heal.

Frances the Tissue Viability Nurse at John Mitchel Place Newry has been dressing the ulcer, sometimes we think it’s almost healed  and then there is a set back but never once has she lost heart - she is always so caring and understanding and professional. I just want to say a big thank you to her and want her to know that I appreciate all the care, advice and understanding that she has given, she has been an Angel especially during these very difficult times of covid.

Dear velaxd53

Thank you so much for giving of your time to share your experience. Thank you also for the very gracious words you have used to describe the care you have received from Frances.

Frances is a fabulous role model for nurses, she demonstrates her professional values and those of the SHSCT in every contact with patients, families, other service users and her health and social care professional colleagues, her highest priority being good patient care.

I will ensure that Frances and her Tissue Viability Nursing colleagues receive your encouraging feedback

kind regards

Martina
