"My late father"

About: District Nursing / Burford, Broadshires and Bampton District Nurses

(as a relative),

Sadly my late father was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer on the 19th January this year.It was a very difficult time for all the family, especially for my elderly mother, who will be 90 in July. She nursed my father at home as he didn't want to die in hospital. The District nurses were all amazing and made my dad as comfortable as they could.

Nothing was too much trouble and their care and compassion was second to none.

My father very sadly passed away on the 12th of March but we will be forever grateful for their care and support.

Dear Lesley

I am very sorry to hear the sad passing of your father.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave feedback around the care and treatment received from the district nurses.

Please can I ask you to share which district nurse team provided care to your father so that I can share your feedback with the relevant managers of the Unit to enable them to share your feedback team wide.

If you would like to discuss your experience in more detail, please do call PALS (Patient Advice & Liaison Service) on 0800 328 7971.

Thank you once again for your feedback

With best wishes

Lisa Brandon

Update posted by Lesley M (a relative)

Dear Lisa,

Thank you very much for your response to my posting. My late father lived in Bampton Oxfordshire and was cared for by the Burford, Broadshires and Bampton District nurse team.

As I said in my Feedback they were an amazing team. They treated not just my dad but my elderly mum and all of us as a family with compassion and care. We can't speak highly enough of them all. Not only the district nurses but Bampton surgery and Sobell house were also brilliant too

I would like to say a huge thank you to them all and we will be forever grateful to every single one of them that treated my dad with such dignity in the final weeks of his life.

I hope that I have answered your query and I would be most grateful if you could pass our thanks on to them all.

Kind regards,

Lesley M
