I have tried to get an appointment with Rushey Green Group Practice for weeks, first of all the phonelines are rubbish its either always busy or you are on hold for hours when I say hours I've been on hold for 3 hours at longest, then when someone answers the phone they don't even listen to you all they say is you have to call at 8 and the language that is used, I would describe as very unprofessional/inappropriate "the thing is yeah you have to call at 8am, clearly you're not doing that you get me, obviously you ain't gonna get an appointment" I was called a liar when I said I've been on hold for that long and have been trying to book an appointment with them. I have never been rude I kept my voice down and dealt with this situation calmly. As a results I was told I can't get a call back from the doctor as my situation wasn't urgent at all. Therefore I tried calling Baring Road Medical Centre and phones were answered within 15 mins and the receptionist understood the urgency of my matter and got the doctor who spoke to me last time to call me on the same day. I am disappointed with Rushey Green Group Practice as this is not the first time this happened. I've been registered here for 10 years and there's absolutely no improvements in the admin/reception team.

Thank you for taking to time to leave your comments. I would start by apologising for your recent experience when calling our Rushey Green site.

You quite correct that as a patient you should not have been spoken to in this manner and the fact that you were not listened to by the receptionist which led you to call the Baring Road site and receive a much better experience. I will be discussing your complaint with the reception supervisor as there is clearly a training need within the team. unfortunately, as I do not have your details I am unable to find out who you spoke with on the telephone.

We are aware that our current telephone system is not satisfactory and because of this we are reviewing our options for a better telephony solution. This will take a month or two before it comes into operation, but I hope by August 2021 should you have cause to contact us again you will notice the improvement.
