"The staff at the Royal following my heart attack"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / Cardiology & Coronary Care Unit

(as a service user),

I was admitted very early on a Friday morning and not in a good way at all. A senior heart consultant explained what had happened and what needed to be done. Obviously I agreed and asked when would this be done ?

I received a simple reply   Now

That simple summary describes the whole can do attitude displayed by ALL the staff !!

I looked up the definition for the word hospital, which is far from a description, to describe The Royal , so please to everyone one of the wonderful staff here is how you impacted on  saving my life.

A Hospital- a place where you will find a group of highly trained professionals working at the top of their game. A fully coherent team dedicated selflessly to help people.

Kindness, empathy, considerate - just the ability to go. the extra mile to help someone.

In the order of balance the only fault I could find would be the difficulty in getting a Jaffa Cake and that is as bad as it gets

waterwn39 Thank you for this feedback for our teams here at RIE. This is so kind especially when you have been so unwell. I will be sure that they see it and we will need to see what we can do about the jaffa cakes.

Thanks again and hope you continue to get well.

Michelle Jack

Associate Nurse Director.
