"The practice came to a complete halt."

About: The Cuckoo Lane Practice

My family member had to go to urgent care with an infection. There they were told the GP needs to perform a procedure. The receptionist in rude terms told them they can self-treat since the pandemic is going on.

Any requests, visits, questions, are met with "we are busy due to the pandemic". Funnily enough, if you actually had COVID symptoms, they would send you to 111 anyway. I don't see them vaccinating either.

Please contact us to speak to Julie Belton, our Operations Director, to discuss this incident in more detail.

The pandemic has put pressure on our whole team, as it has the whole NHS. We have continued to provide both remote and face to face provision throughout.

The covid vaccine is not being routinely given in any GP Practice, it is being provided by General Practice led hubs in Ealing and Southall. As a practice, Cuckoo Lane has been working hard on running the local Covid 19 vaccine program. Our staff have given up their own time to volunteer as Clinical Leads, Vaccinators, Stewards and Admin at the local vaccine hubs.
