"Rude staff members"

About: Diana, Princess Of Wales Hospital

When you go into A&E needing medical attention, you don’t expect to be spoken to like your the last person on Earth the receptionists want to speak to or help. Honestly shocked and disgusted at the way in which staff members find appropriate to speak to sick patients. I very very rarely need to use the NHS, fortunately.

Walked out of the department in severe pain and tears, without even speaking to a medical professional.

It is very concerning that the trust has 3 values: kindness, courage & respect. None of which were exhibited today by A&E staff. Basic courtesy would be nice too.

It’s truly awful that the first port of call through the hospitals doors is enough to make sick members of the public turn around and not receive medical attention.

I don’t understand how any human being to another human being can be so belittling and intimidating, never mind “professionals”.

Hopefully the characteristics of the A&E receptionists don’t lead to a member of the public suffering fatal ill health.
