I had to take my elderly mother for a scan which confirmed a clot , this resulted in an immediate visit to urgent care and the DVT department which has only recently opened. My elderly mother was very apprehensive and anxious about her visit but it didn’t take long for staff to put her at ease, talking in through everything and reassuring her. 2 nurses that were on duty cannot be praised enough, they were both absolutely fantastic. I appreciate that all nhs staff work extremely hard but it was obvious that these 2 ladies are in the job because they genuinely care and it was clear they not only cared about the treatment that my mother received but also considered her feelings . Massive appreciation to both these ladies .
Unfortunately I am unable to communicate the same about one person that I came into contact with whom I didn’t feel possessed any manners at all and found them to be very rude, maybe they could learn from their colleagues and in particular the 2 nurses who gave first class care to my mother.
"They genuinely care"
