"Welcoming and reassuring "

About: Blackpool Victoria Hospital

I was triaged over the phone at 21:15 and they asked me some questions to which the answers meant I had to go in to be seen on the maternity day unit. I arrived just before 10pm and was seen and discharged within half an hour. I was worried I was being paranoid and wasting their time but they made me feel welcome and reassured me I had done the right thing. The midwife and assistant were both very nice, friendly and reassuring. I felt like they took me seriously, took observations and bloods and listened to baby’s heart beat for me. Gave me some advice and told me to be back in touch if my symptoms got worse. I would definitely recommend this service to anyone who is worried and wants to be seen. My friend recommended it to me and I’m grateful I took her advice and made contact. Thank you very much.
