"Care from a nurse point of view"

About: Borders General Hospital / Accident & Emergency Borders General Hospital / Day Hospital Borders General Practices

(as the patient),

I work as a nurse in the Borders and took ill 6 weeks ago, ended up in A+E one night then ambulatory care the next day an all the staff were fantastic. Care was delivered to a high standard and everyone was friendly and went out their way to help me. They showed me dignity an respect and I really appreciated the phone call from Becky from ambulatory care the day after to check I was ok. The GP (Dr Mason) who dealt me with outwith these times in hospital was brilliant, constantly phoning me to make sure everything was ok and I felt like she cared how I was doing.

Keep up the good work, proud to be part of the NHS team 💙

Dear Nurse123, I'm sorry you have been unwell and have been on the "other side" of the NHS. I am however, delighted to hear you have had such a positive experience. As you know, working throughout the Pandemic has been very challenging but we have tried really hard to maintain the high standards we try to achieve so receiving this positive feedback is lovely. I will pass on to all the staff. I hope you are well on your way to recovery and thankyou for taking the time to use Care Opinion.

Thanks

Lesley Anderson
