I attended the Day surgery unit at Colchester hospital for a small operation. Albeit extremely anxious around the idea of A general anaesthetic.
The staff at this unit, were amazing. I met with my surgeon after only 15 minutes inside the centre, who despite my anxiety instilled complete confidence in me. I am extremely grateful for the care I received and I can honestly say it has been an absolute first class experience.
Great communication, amazing professionalism and a complete focus on the patient. Whilst I appreciate every case is different I can honestly say that this hospital is absolutely not deserving of the current CQC rating. In my personal opinion, I felt safe, well informed and extremely well looked after. Especially in these difficult times we all find ourselves.
