Just before lock down in mid March 2020 I had an appointment to have a coil fitted at the Pilgrim Hospital, Boston. Unfortunately, I had an exceptionally long wait to be seen this day. I was checked on quite frequently and staff apologised for my wait which I believe was 2- 3 hours.
The reason I wanted to leave feedback is because I want to say how fantastically I was dealt with by the two nurses who looked after me during and after this procedure. Having a coil fitted is a very unpleasant and very painful procedure for myself. I think this is one reason why I had such a long wait because they were waiting for the specialist bed (cannot remember the name) to become free to make the procedure easier.
The two nurses ie. Amy and Janet were absolutely fantastic. They were so kind and caring and made me feel so much at ease when I was in pain and worrying. They were such lovely ladies and made me feel so relaxed and comfortable before the procedure, during and after. I would just like to thank both of these nurses and the doctor that day who too was very kind and caring.
It has taken me quite some time to get around to writing this but I really do appreciate what they did that day.
Thank you so very much.
